Goodbye Summer!!

Whew!! We'll we're not out of the woods yet, but we've managed to survive another raging Austin Summer. Honestly, It could have been much worse... We're celebrating with an "End of Summer" show on Sept 7 here in Austin with Minor Mishap Marching Band, at Threadgills WHQ. We team up with MMMB once a year, and it's always a helluva show!! The night generally ends with about 50 people on stage blowin, pickin, beatin, hollerin... The Facebook event is HERE

In a few weeks, we'll be headed to Chicago to play some private parties for our pals over at Hendrick's Gin, the Gin of choice for WGS!This is an invite-only event, but if you are in the Chicago area Sept26/27 and interested in attending one of these uber-swanky parties, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. October is always a big month for us, as we look ahead to the 9th Annual WGS Halloween Ball!! We're hosting the party this year at the beautiful Beauty Ballroom. Tickets are going to be an affordable $15, and will go on sale the first week of Sept. Joining us will be long time friends Clyde and Clem's Whiskey Business, and the world's best Queen cover band, Magnifico.

We're also thrilled to announce we'll be making our way back to Kansas in October, as well as playing Yonder Mountain String Band's Harvest Fest in the Ozarks, Arkansas. Check the Calendar for more details, but here's our schedule:

On the Halloween Ball tip, every year we start brainstorming ideas for themes around July, and finally, after a painful process, decide on one around....welll...around now!
