CONFUSAPALOOZA II C'mon Down!

Well folks, Winter in Austin is gone, and allergy season is here! We've got a bunch of shows in the Spring, but for now, let's concentrate on the task at hand.....CONFUSAPALOOZA II !!

That's right, we've assembled our favorite bands whose names are quite easily confused. This year we've got a GREAT lineup : White Ghost Shivers, Whiskey Shivers, Clyde and Clem's Whiskey Business, and The Ghost Wolves. The party will be April 4, at Empire Control Room, in Austin. Advance tickets are now available HERE and are only $10 in advance!!

 Won't you join us?!?!?

Happy Holidays!

Well it’s that time of year again where we take some time to visit family, drink hot beverages, and watch classic holiday movies.  However, don’t fret dear people!  We still have some shows on the books to keep the blood flowing!

Houston, it’s time to open wide and gobble us up for Thanksgiving! We’re coming to the Mucky Duck the day before Thanksgiving for a special show, you’ll never see so many turkeys on one stage!

Nov 27, we’re back at home playing with two of our favorite bands to play with,  Clyde & Clem’s Whiskey Business and East Cameron Folkcore!  Also, speaking of favorites, the night opens with a special site specific performance by our absolute favorite theater group in town, Paper Chairs!  They will be performing a re-launch of their hit, ‘Murder Ballad Mystery’.

What about December?   Dec. 10th & 11th you ask?  Well, we can’t think of a better way to spend a few wintery nights soaking ourselves in Gin than playing our favorite party in the world, in NY!  That’s right, Hendrick’s Gin decided to tack on one more party for the year, in Brooklyn!  Check the calendar for RSVP info and the absolutely glorious location. As usual, our buddies at Hendrick’s will no doubt find the right place for this scandalous night of revelry!

Finishing up the year, we will be performing at our absolute favorite honky-tonk in the universe, the White Horse.  If you’ve heard of these famed shows as of late, there’s really no need to go into too much detail.  Always lots of whiskey and nudity.  Oh, and music and dancing as well.  Hmmm, maybe Santa will be there?  If he is, surely he will not be wearing any clothes.

See ya next year and happy holidays from the Shivers Shack!

Summer and Fall 2013

It’s summer time and the kids just wanna dance! Well, the grown ups do to. Heck, everyone should be dancin’ dang it!! So, here’s what we’re going to do…We’re going to play a handful of shows so you can all get a little workout on the dance floor and shake them summertime blues away all the way till you “fall” into autumn! (Sorry, bad pun).

Anyways, we’s gonna start off in Chicago next week(Sept 16/17) doing our favorite parties in the world, I mean, in the world of unusual (will it ever stop?).  That’s right, playing two Hendrick’s Gin parties in Chicago!! Check the calendar for the RSVP links!! Then, back home to one of our fave haunts in ATX, The Continental Club.

Now here’s where it gets crazy! If’n yer lookin’ fer some action, September and October is absolutely bonkers here in Shiverland! You can catch us at our usual Continental Club haunt and our family show at Central Market, and then follow it up with an appearance at the Pecan Street Festival! Not to mention that if you live in Chicago, Boston, or Philly, you can catch us at more Hendrick’s Gin parties!! Wha!!?? ACL weekend you ask? Well, if you want to get away from the madness, join us in Houston on Friday, or, if you’d like to take a swift trip somewhere in a hand basket, join us again at the legendary White Horse that Saturday. What? No, not even close to being done! We had such a good time last time, we decided to go back to Odessa, yep. Oh, and did we mention our first annual “WGS Kids Ball” at Central Market? That’s right! Finally, the kids can make it to the party! Aaaand (drum roll) this year marks our 10TH anniversary of the White Ghost Shivers Halloween Ball, which will be held at Spider House Ballroom this year!! More info to come soon! Whew. Okay, out of breath. Check our website and calendar for info…

Summer is Near!!

Summer may not officially be here as of yet, but it is literally knocking at our door here in sunny Austin, TX! Do you know what that means?  It means that it gets hot and we start losing our clothes here in ATX, which, can also be said for WGS shows this summer!

That’s right, the jazz will be hotter than ever as we take to the stage at our favorite local haunts!  Bring the whole family to Central Market, bring the teenagers to Threadgill’s, but get a babysitter for the Continental Club!  Also, make sure you stay tuned in for the many unannounced and surprise “small” shows we’ll be doing, along with the handful of events we’ll be doing with our pals at Hendrick’s Gin in L.A., Chicago, Boston, and Philly!  Till then…shrug your shoulders and get a little bolder, Get Hot!!

We're happy to announce we'll be opening for ????????? on Oct. 12 at Crossroads in KC, followed by our own headlining show at The Bottleneck in Lawrence, KS later that night. Announcement comes 6/20. Then we're off to the Ozarks Oct 13 for our slot in this year's Harvest Fest!

Two songs from our latest release, "Nobody Loves You Like We Do", were featured in the KLRU(PBS) series "Daytripper". Watch the episode here.
